Its All Gone Pete Tong is a comedy following the tragic life of legendary Frankie Wilde. The story takes us through Frankie’s life from one of the best DJ’s alive, through subsequent battle with a hearing disorder, culminating in his mysterious disappearance from the scene. A genius in his own right, he clawed his way to the top of the DJ ranks, now living the opulent life of a superstar, he resides in his trophy villa in Ibiza with his trophy wife. This is when tragedy hits. Born with a hearing disorder he is rapidly going deaf with only one functioning ear to complete the new Ibiza season. How is he doing behind the decks? Horrible. How is he doing in the studio where he produces his remixes? Frankie dives into a low period, struggling with deafness in utter depression. After a year of locking himself away he emerges on the other side with a fresh attitude towards his affliction. He accepts his deafness and learns to function without sound. Will Frankie make it back to the DJ booth? Will his new single be any good? Will he get back his opulent old life or does he even want it back? When you can’t hear, things look very different.

Tragekomisk film kring den åkomma som många DJ:s får, hörselproblem. Bara i denna filmen går det så långt att han faktiskt blir döv. Många roliga scener som lättar upp denna film som egentligen är ganska tragisk. Kring hur en människa verkligen kan hamna på botten. Men ha tar sig därifrån. Roligt att den är filmad som en dokumentär i vissa delar och att de intervjuar kända DJ:s king Frank Wildes liv. Självklart härlig musik i filmen. Den är inte riktigt lika bra som Groove.

In the desert of New Mexico, the U.S. Government conducted atomic tests during the 1950s. A small group of people refused to leave their homes despite the urging of the government, and were caught in the nuclear explosions. Their descendants - a horrible, hideous band of mutated sub-humans - has survived to the present day. Just over a half-century later, an all-American family looking for a shortcut to California for a holiday is directed down a back road that is quite literally a dead end. When their vehicle’s tires blow, what seems like an unfortunate accident becomes a horrifying nightmare - it was actually a trap! One at a time, these horrible sub-humans emerge from their hiding places to torture & kill the family. However, some of them - and their pets - strike back at their tormentors, and only one group will survive…

Jag hade för mig att jag sett “orginalet“, alltså filmen som denna är en remake av och det hade jag. Tycker orginalet är snäppet bättre. Men det verkar som det just nu är en marknad för filmer som handlar om turister som försvinner när de turistar. Filmen bygger upp en bra stämning, det tar en bra stund innan något verkligen händer och då händer det verkligen grejer. Den har precis den mängd av gore som jag tycker gör filmen mera verklig, den spårar inte ur på den avdelningen som Hostel gör. Man sitter på nålar genom större delen av filmen och man vet inte riktigt vad som ska ske härnäst.

Diego, Manny and Sid return in this sequel to the hit Ice Age. This time around the Ice Age is over and is starting to melt, which will destroy their valley. So they must unite and warn everyone about the situation.

Ännu en uppföljare som inte når upp till samma kvalitet som den första filmen. Den första är helt underbar och håller genom hela filmen. Denna guppar lite upp och ner. Men det är för den delen inte en dålig film. Den är mycket sevärd. Jag älskar Sid och Skrat. Även de nya pungråttorna är underbart roliga.

Dr. Ben McKenna, his wife Jo and their son Hank are on a touring holiday of Africa when they meet the mysterious Louis Bernard on a bus. The next day Bernard is murdered in the local marketplace, but before he dies he manages to reveal details of an assassination about to take place in London. Fearing that their plot will be revealed, the assassins kidnap Hank in order to keep the McKenna’s silent. Ben and Jo go to London and take matters into their own hands.

Man kan inget annat än att bi imponerad av Hitchcock som redan på 50-talet skapar filmer som sträcker sig runt 120min-sträcket, vilket i detta fallet kanske är lite mycket. Denna filmen är lite mera som man är van vid. Men den är lite seg i allmänhet. Den börjar lugnt och accelererar sedan i spänning. Man märker verkligen att Hitchcock är duktig på att bygga upp en spännande scen och också en film.
Jag tycker inte riktigt att denna filmen kommer upp i samma Hitchcock-spänning som de övriga av hans spännande filmer jag nu sett. Men det är ändå en mycket sevärd film med bra skådespelartalanger.

Young Arnie, walking through the Vermont woods, hears some threats, and then gunshots. Investigating, he finds the body of Harry Worp, and he thinks Harry has been murdered. He tells his mother, Jennifer Rogers, who recognizes the man as her ex-husband. She, along with the elderly CaptainWiles and the spinster Ivy Gravely, believe they will be prime suspects when Harry’s body is found, so they conspire to bury it, with the help of artist Sam Marlowe.

Oj, vad anorlunda mot de övriga Hitchcock-filmer jag tittat på nyligen. Mycket mera humor än vad det har varit i de tidigare filmerna. Anorlunda är väl ordet som beskriver hela filmen. Tror jag behöver se den igen för att uppskatta den till fullo.

Professional photographer L.B. “Jeff” Jeffries breaks his leg while getting an action shot at an auto race. Confined to his New York apartment, he spends his time looking out of the rear window observing the neighbours. He begins to suspect that the man opposite may have murdered his wife. Jeff enlists the help of his society model girlfriend Lisa Freemont and his nurse Stella to investigate.

Typisk Hitchcock film (om jag redan vågar säga det). Spänning från start till slut. Bra skådespelare och ett enkelt manus. Mycket bra film. Man vill verkligen inte att de ska ha rätt i sina misstankar. Slutet är mycket spännande.

A case of mistaken identity lands Slevin (Josh Hartnett) into the middle of a war being plotted by two of the city’s most rival crime bosses: The Rabbi (Ben Kingsley) and The Boss (Morgan Freeman). Slevin is under constant surveillance by relentless Detective Brikowski (Stanley Tucci) as well as the infamous assassin Goodkat (Bruce Willis) and finds himself having to hatch his own ingenious plot to get them before they get him.

Riktigt häftig film dom håller en igång och gissandes genom hela filmen fram till slutet då allt faller på plats. Jag kom att tänka på The Usual Suspects, men denna filmen är inte riktigt lika bra. Men nästan. Det blir en mycket stark trea.

Brandon and Philip are two young men who share a New York apartment. They consider themselves intellectually superior to their friend David Kentley and as a consequence decide to murder him. Together they strangle David with a rope and placing the body in an old chest, they proceed to hold a small party. The guests include David’s father, his fiancée Janet and their old schoolteacher Rupert from whom they mistakenly took their ideas. As Brandon becomes increasingly more daring, Rupert begins to suspect.

Riktigt läckert med väldigt långa scener utan klipp. Tydligen innehåller filmen endast 9 olika tagningar. Underbart snyggt gjort. Spänningen är också på topp. Ungefär på samma sätta som i Shadow of a Doubt. En riktigt häftig film, i både “filmistiskt”- och i spännings-avseende. Missa den inte.

The Newton family lead a quiet life in the North California town of Santa Rosa. The Newton’s eldest daughter, ‘young Charlie’, decides that things need brightening up and resolves to contact her Uncle Charlie (after whom she is named) and invite him to stay. On arrival at the telegraph office she discovers he is already on his way. However, Uncle Charlie is being pursued by a couple of detectives who suspect him of being “The Merry Widow Murderer”, an evil strangler wanted in connection with the deaths of several rich East coast widows.

Såhär ska en spänningsfilm göras. Man hålls ju på spänningens kant genom större delen av filmen. Även om man ganska tidigt kan lista ut hur det ligger till, så hålls man ändå på halster. Sedan är Hitchcock himla duktig på att välja vinklar för att visa att något är fel.
