Upon hearing of her mother’s death, jaded teenage loner Purslane Hominy Will returns to New Orleans for the first time in years, ready to reclaim her childhood home. Expecting to find her late mother’s house abandoned, Pursy is shocked to discover that it is inhabited by two of her mother’s friends: Bobby Long, a former literature professor, and his young protégé, Lawson Pines. These broken men, whose lives took a wrong turn years before, have been firmly rooted in the dilapidated house for years, encouraged only by Lawson’s faltering ambitions to write a novel about Bobby Long’s life. Having no intention of leaving, Pursy, Bobby Long and Lawson are all forced to live together. Yet as time passes, their tenuous, makeshift arrangement unearths a series of buried personal secrets that challenges their bonds, and reveals just how inextricably their lives are intertwined.

Detta är också en film som jag har svårt att sätta fingret på vad jag egentligen tycker om filmen. Jättebra skådespelarinsatser. Filmen hade inte varit något utan deras insatser. Filmen var dock lite seg för min smak. Men får dock en stark 3:a i betyg.

The movie goes on to show how Hitler and Eva lived their last hours in the Bunker.

Skakande film om Hitlers sista tid i livet. Den tid han spenderar i sin bunker i Berlin. Bruno Ganz som spelar Hitler gör ett ypperligt jobb. Vore dock spännande att få reda på om det som händer verkligen är baserat på faktiskt händelser och hur mycket som är fiktion.

In the mid-80’s two young climbers attempted to reach the summit of Siula Grande in Peru; a feat that had previously been attempted but never achieved. With an extra man looking after base camp, Simon and Joe set off to scale the mount in one long push over several days. The peak is reached, however on the descent Joe falls and breaks his leg. Despite what it means, the two continue with Simon letting Joe out on a rope for 300 meters, then descending to join him and so on. However when Joe goes out over an overhang with no way of climbing back up, Simon makes the decision to cut the rope. Joe falls into a crevice and Simon, assuming him dead, continues back down. Joe however survives the fall and was lucky to hit a ledge in the crevice. This is the story of how he got back down.

Mycket bra “dokumentär”. Den fångar upp dig från första början och håller dig på kanten av soffan genom hela filmen. Den är skapad av samma gäng som gör serien “Jag borde vara död” som går på Discovery. TYcker du om den serien kommer du verkligen tycka om denna filmen.

“Inside Man” is the story of a tough cop, Detective Frazier (Denzel Washington), who matches wits with a clever bank robber, Dalton (Clive Owen). As the dangerous cat-and-mouse game unfolds, a wild card emerges: Madaline (Jodie Foster), a power broker with a hidden agenda, who injects even more instability into an already volatile situation.

Tyckte filmen i allmänhet kändes lite slö. Den kom aldrig riktigt upp i fart. Man sögs aldrig riktigt med i handligen, kände aldrig riktigt för hur det skulle gå för skådespelarna. Men filmen är ändå bättre än de allmäna tjuv- och polisfilmer.

A group of cave-divers and scientists explore a newly found cave system in Romania. However, rockfall blocks the exit and after delving further into the cave, the group discover a pack of deadly creatures are waiting for them. With their leader Jack (Cole Hauser) having very strange side-effects and with their numbers dropping, the group must delve even further into the cave, battle the creatures and hope for an exit.

Denna gången var det mera träff på vad jag förväntade mig och vad jag fick se. Denna är inte lika bra som The Descent, men det hade jag förväntat mig. Denna är en mera action-laddad film. Tyvärr drar den igång för snabbt med action, så man hinner inte bekanta sig med någon av skådespelarna, vilket i sin tur gör att man skiter i vilka utav dom som dör. De få som man får en liten förhoppning om överlevnad är också de som klarar sig. Även slutet har ju en så simple vändning så man enkelt redan tidigt i filmen kan listat ut den. Men filmen är underhållande och inte allt för dålig så den får en svag 3:a.

Based upon JJ Connelly’s London crime novel, “LAYER CAKE” is about a successful cocaine dealer (DANIEL CRAIG) who has earned a respected place among England’s Mafia elite and plans an early retirement from the business. However, big boss Jimmy Price hands down a tough assignment: find Charlotte Ryder, the missing rich princess daughter of Jimmy’s old pal Edward, a powerful construction business player and gossip papers socialite. Complicating matters are two million pounds’ worth of Grade A ecstasy, a brutal neo-Nazi sect and a whole series of double crossings. The title “LAYER CAKE” refers to the layers or levels the dealer has to go through as he painstakingly plots his own escape. What is revealed is a modern underworld where the rules have changed. There are no ‘codes’, or ‘families’ and respect lasts as long as a line. Not knowing who he can trust, he has to use all his ’savvy’, ‘telling’ and skills which make him one of the best, to escape his own. The ultimate last job, a love interest called Tammy and an international drugs ring, threaten to draw him back into the ‘cake mix’. But, time is running out and the penalty will endure a lifetime..

Här får man för att man förväntar sig för mcyket av en film. Trodde verkligen detta skulle vara en toppen film. Javvist, den är inte dålig. Men den tillför inget speciellt heller. Den har en rolig och spännande manu, precis som en sådanhär film ska ha. Men någonstans mellan manus och film tappar den något. Vet inte om det beror på regissören, eller vad det är.

After the continuous sleep walking episodes of Sharon, the young daughter of Rose Da Silva, the decision is made to take Sharon to the place only mentioned in her restless dreams- Silent Hill. However, the road to Silent Hill is anything but easy to access, and Rose creates a high speed chase between herself and a police officer only to end in a crash for them both. When she wakes up, Sharon has disappeared and Rose is at the entrance to the deserted, dream-like town of Silent Hill. As Rose begins the search for her daughter, she does not realize the terror and mystery surrounding her. Rose is led on a blind search for her beloved daughter, finding herself getting more and more entwined into disturbing past of Silent Hill.

Jag har för mig att jag börjat testa ett av spelen i serien, men gav upp då det var för mysko för min del. Gillade de tidigare filmer jag sett av Christophe Gans (Crying Freeman och Le Pacte des loups). Även denna filmen är snyggt gjord. Men troligtvis måste man ha spelat spelen för att verkligen uppskatta denna filmen. Även om man mot slutet får en viss förklaring så hänger man ändå inte med på allt som händer. Sedan är filmen lite väl lång. En svag trea bilr det.

But she learns that you van’t cheat death as the Grim Reaper begins slaying the survivors. The clues to their deaths are in the photos she took on that fateful night, but time is running out until she is next…

Förväntade mig en riktigt dålig uppföljare, men blev i det avseendete prositivt överaskad. Visst den håller inte samma klass som de två första. Denna har sämre skådespelarinsatser och special effekter. Men är dock en ritkigt sevärd uppföljare om man gillade de andra två.
