{"id":879,"date":"2006-07-30T23:06:30","date_gmt":"2006-07-30T21:06:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.bernhardsson.com\/scotland\/?p=62"},"modified":"2014-05-09T11:22:01","modified_gmt":"2014-05-09T10:22:01","slug":"july-30-stirling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.bernhardsson.com\/patrik\/journal\/2006\/07\/30\/july-30-stirling\/","title":{"rendered":"July 30 &#8211; Stirling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The day started\u00a0 as usual, up at the normal time, breakfast and morning chores.\u00a0 We drove around looking for a Tesco store so Terese could buy Magners to take home, unfortunately we could not\u00a0 find one but we found the road to Stirling , so we took it.\u00a0\u00a0 When we arrived at Stirling Castle we all felt we had seen enough castles and thought the entrance fee was a little\u00a0 too expensive.\u00a0 We decided to take pictures of the\u00a0 outside of\u00a0 the castle and also of the Wallace Monument which lies a bit away but\u00a0 after taking\u00a0 photos of the castle\u00a0 we went down to Stirling Old Town\u00a0 and took a coffee break with tasty muffins instead.\u00a0 We went back to the car and continued our journey to Newcastle, tomorrow we take the boat home.\u00a0 We drive Edinburgh Bypass and decide to drive the coastal route.\u00a0 In Berwick-upon-Tweed we have a break and eat lunch at McDonalds and buy some Magners for Terese in the nearby shopping centre.
